Port of Calvi

Harbour Information, Terminals and Facilities
(Calvi, Corsica, France)

For centuries the port of Calvi has been an important trading post and one of Corsica's main links with the outside world, with evidence of its seafaring past still visible today around the old Venetian harbour. Calvi's modern day ferry terminal can be found at the commercial port, just a short walk from the town centre.

Facilities at the port itself are limited to public conveniences, vending machines and a small snack bar, although the town itself provides a wide range of shopping and services within a short walk of the port.

The port area only offers limited parking options that can become scarce during the summer months; however, there is ample short-term and long-term parking available in the town centre.

Ferry Services

There are two companies operating ferry services to and from Calvi. Corsica Ferries is the largest company and it offers two sailings on the same route, while SNCM Ferries offers two separate routes.

Corsica Ferries sails between the southern French city of Nice and Calvi up to six days a week, with a journey time of three hours on the express service and five to six hours on the shuttle service. The SNCM Ferry Company runs up to six crossings a week between Nice and Calvi, with a journey time of three hours.

SNCM also offers one crossing a week between the French city of Marseille and Calvi, with a journey time of around 11 hours.
